Smartsheet
Smartsheet is a software and work execution platform offering cloud-based collaboration and workflow management. It allows you to assign and track tasks, measure project progress, manage calendars, share documents, create web forms, reports, and automate process and approval workflows in real time. The School of Medicine maintains an Enterprise License for Smartsheet, and manages individual licenses. There are two main license types that are available to School of Medicine faculty and staff, a licensed user and an unlicensed user.
A licensed user is a paid user who can create new items in Smartsheet including sheets, reports, and dashboards, and share them with others. Paid licenses are currently $625 per fiscal year, renewed in July each year, which is paid via a Speedtype. Click here to request a new paid license.
An unlicensed user is someone who does not have a paid Smartsheet license. Free users do not have the ability to create their own items, however they do have the ability to view and/or edit the items that have been shared with them. Unpaid licenses do not need to be renewed. Click here for instructions on how to create an Unlicensed user account.
If a licensed user leaves the institution or no longer needs access to a paid license, it can be transferred (along with the materials associated with the license) to another individual. Licenses can also be cancelled without transferring to anyone else. Click here to request a transfer or cancellation of a license.
